AJMAN, August 9 (BelTA – Emirates News Agency). – The Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, organized by the Ajman Tourism Development Department for three consecutive days at the Emirates Hospitality Center in Ajman, has come to an end.

The event has established itself as a pioneering platform to promote and develop the palm sector and the production of dates, honey and fruits, in addition to reviving the cultural heritage and rich traditions of the UAE.

It succeeded in attracting a large number of visitors who enjoyed the distinguished activities of the festival and various competitions that allowed them to discover the most beautiful dates and honey products of 2022.

The festival also witnessed the distribution of various prizes worth AED 500,000 among the participants of the competitions of the 7th edition of the festival, which included a competition for decorating dates, honey, citrus fruits, lemon , mango and almonds, in addition to a traditional dish. and photography contests, all of which witnessed great competition between palm owners, farmers, beekeepers, chefs and photographers.

The festival witnessed a huge turnout from the public and visitors who visited the festival daily throughout its three days.

The festival included numerous events and activities aimed at reviving Emirati cultural heritage and traditions in a festive atmosphere filled with entertainment suitable for the whole family.

There was a photography competition for dates and honey products in collaboration with City University College Ajman, a cooking competition for the public and a cooking competition for hotel facilities in Ajman.

The festival also included an exhibition of the best palms produced in the country, where several farmers displayed their best dates, citrus fruits, fruits and the best local honey.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman’s Tourism Development Department, expressed his gratitude for the success of this year’s Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, whether with the huge participation of owners of palm trees, farmers and beekeepers or broad public participation.
